I purchased this as ‘Black Miracle’, but I think it’s likely a hybrid. I’m looking for a pure ampullaria that can form a basal carpet. Does anyone have store recommendations? I’m still a beginner and would prefer to find smaller plants for affordable prices.

It might be a hybrid, but it’s kind of hard to tell right now. Looks to me like the leaf coloring is typical of a black miracle, but the peristome shape and pitcher color are a little off. Again, it looks young so it might grow into it.
As for stores with a good selection of ampullaria, I like redbarncarnivores.com. I got an ampullaria tricolor rainbow lips from them and it came with 3 basal shoots which will eventually carpet.
Where’d you get this one, btw?

You’re unlikely to find a black miracle cutting outside of auctions, but Carnivero and Florae both usually have pure ampullaria for sale.
