Plant Propagation

The base rotted and unsure what to do, help!!

I just cut off the rotting base and applied cinnamon to callous. Any advice if I should continue top cut whole water propagation or wet stick?

I'm leaning towards wet stick but unsure where to cut since there are numerous bulging "bits".

Can anyone help me out?

Cinnamon to callous? Both using cinnamon and callousing cuttings are based on myths and not on actual science. Professionals don’t use either of those methods because there’s no benefit to them. They use a fresh cutting because that can uptake water. Cinnamon oil is known to be antifungal, but there’s no benefit to using cinnamon powder.

If the cutting is diseased, you should use copper fungicide.

  2. I’d cut it in the middle of the bottom section, let it dry for like an hour and stick it in water.
