Jasper and his cactus friend he greets every week

This is a cactus at a local plant store. Every Monday, we visit the farmer’s market across the street and Jasper likes to come and greet this cactus. He will rub his face on it to scratch his nose and sometimes he will preen (groom) it.

No it does not hurt him. Wild Amazon parrots often are found living in and perching on cacti.
