Water propagating pothos tips

I am trying to propagate these pothos cuttings! I think some are a philodendron but still, I can’t seem to get them to root! They also get brown and mushy on the ends after letting them callus. Anyone have any tips on how I can get these to propagate in water?

The ones on the right are scindapsus.
Do you sanitize the end after removing all of the rot?Do you have a picture of how your setup is? Do you change the water? ☺️

I’m a prop fiend 👹 Here’s what I would do: Make sure the stem is green throughout after chopping rot (sometimes some rot can sneak inside the seemingly green stem) before letting them callous again. When you put them in water try using a bottle, or a more narrow necked glass. Make sure you are not changing the water often and only refilling, I use the same Pothos water for months and only change it if the water is murky/bacterial. For the stem, I’d find a teeny tiny glass jar that it can balance in but not be submerged. Water levels should submerge the node but not too much leaf or new growth. And if they are not already, I’ve found they don’t rot as much in a sunnier spot. I have some posts of my propagation set ups if you want to see! Good luck you’ve got this ☺️ Can’t wait to hear how they grow!🪴
