Not to worry—it’s just dormant! So long as that but in the soil is firm, everything is fine. All of my *D. filiformis* have already lost their leaves and produced their winter resting buds (hibernacula.)

Its going dormant. That’s a hibernaculum, or resting bud, in the middle. It will reemerge next year in the spring.you have to reduce watering for it while it’s dormant
