Never had an issue with my alocasias, this week I lost a scalprum, Jacklyn and dragon breath – all went mushy at base of stem.. any idea why..? They were freshly watered as 70% of soil was dried.. I freshly changed their soil on Sunday night,,, lost scalprum on Thursday and today (Saturday) these two… roots look absolutely fine, bright white and healthy…

Any weather or temp spikes?
But might be worth to dig them up and take a look at the roots to see if they’re ok?
Why the soil change? They look awfully young to have their roots disturbed at this time.
Could it be transplant shock? I’m scared to repot mine cause I’ve heard alocasias are picky
Temperature shock? Is that a window nearby?
