Bought this about a month ago and no sign of pests or ill health – but with the extra-fuzzy petiole some may be lurking. I treated with pesticide when I brought it home.
Could these sticky droplets be normal? It’s only on the emerging leaf as far as I can tell.

I believe this is EFN’s Extrafloral Nectories. Common on philodendrons.
