Begonias

Just gifted my first begonia!

Hi all! Sorry it gets long. Google is only a little helpful, and I'd prefer answers from real ppl. Nw Lower Michigan, zone 5b/6a. Beer can for size in the photo.
A friend just gave me this monster, my first begonia, and I'm not sure how best to care for her. She was in the shade, so I figured she'd be ok coming into my porch where she'll get bright, mostly indirect, light with regular misting when we have to turn on the heat. Looks like she's about half done blooming, and leaves me a mess every day. LOL!
She's in what looks like a cardboard basket with wire to hang, I have a plastic pot ready for her permanent home.
Some of her older leaves are yellowing and dropping, I assume that's somewhat normal as newer leaves are still a nice green with red edges.
So, on to the questions! When should I cut her down to move her to the new pot, she's bigger than me and I can't do it otherwise. I have Fox Farm Coco Loco, will that be ok? Is it fairly easy to tell if I'm over/under watering? Can anyone come build me a bigger porch? (Sorry, couldn't help it. I still have a doz trees and 1/2 doz peppers to come in)
I'm doing research in my free time, but it's mostly vague crap. Any and all input is appreciated! Thank you all so much!
