I've got three pots the same as this one. I've got the 'pillar' (dwarf juniper) and 'spiller' (variegated ivy) but the 'filler' is more of a challenge. The pots face east, and are in shade most of the time due to my neighbour's protruding porch on the south side. It's also quite exposed. The small Gaultherias I planted are dying off one by one. Any suggestions? Annuals or permanent plantings – I don't mind. Winter-flowering annuals like violas haven't fared well due to lack of sunlight.
