I'm in 6b SW Ohio and these dahlias were doing great and then suddenly developed a mottled appearance on the leaves and one of my three plants very quickly took a turn for the worst. I've been looking to try to determine what is going on with it- thrips, smut, but I'm not certain. It seems as though all of the dahlias I have planted (in other areas of my yard across a half acre) also are showing a slight mottling of the leaves. Some of the plants are just now maturing as I had a late start due to some major yard renovations. All dahlias were purchased from the same place. Any guidance would be much appreciated!!

The third photo looks like underwatering and sun burn.
Could be spider mites as well.
