Send help, google has me hella confused. Some say prune hard post summer to 30cm from base and some sites say categorically not, wait until feb/march. Which is it? This guy still has one or two late flush flowers.
Definitely don’t prune yours now whilst it is flowering. There are three different types of clematis and they require different feeding and pruning methods. https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/clematis/pruning-guide
