I initially dug a hole approximately 5 inches deep and 6 inches wide to plant a new plant but later decided to relocate it a little further away. I refilled the original hole with soil. Last night, some animal may have come and dug up the area. However, there was no pile of soil left behind, which leads me to wonder if the animal somehow took the soil with it. But what kind of animal could take soil?
