We live in a generational house with a large overgrown perimeter and I recently learned that my grandfather had a bougainvillea tree. He passed over 40 years ago and I moved it to the garden. It was doing fine until my mother overwatered and killed it.
I tried to save the last healthy cuttings on Friday. Used sterile water, root hormones, and liquid fertilizer. Last checked on Sunday, fine fibers were growing out from the cuttings. They looked like roots because they exceeded the cut, but I wonder why the ends are turning brown?
