Help! What am I doing wrong/what do I do now?

I've had this Frydek for a few months now. I initially had it in my bathroom by a frosted window and it was doing great. I had someone look after it for a couple weeks as I was away, and it was a bit droopy and yellow when I got back. Someone on this sub told me to move it into more light, so I did that. Since I got back though, all the leaves have slowly turned yellow, shriveled and died. I've repotted it into a less dense substrate so it wasn't sitting in so much moisture too, but that didn't seem to help either. I try to keep the soil just slightly moist (usually let the top part dry out, then give it a good water).

I accidentally knocked it over today 🫠 but it allowed me to see that the poor thing doesn't have any roots left (?).

What should I do? Keep it in the soil? Keep it moist? Let it dry out? Stick it in some water? I don't understand alocasias at all 😭 Help!

The good news is that alocasias absolutely come back from the dead.

The question is, are you about to hit winter or summer?
