Didn’t think I’d get this far so quick but pretty happy with it. I’ve never seen footprints in grass outside of YouTube video gurus. Haven’t ran my striper yet but I have a feeling it should be worthwhile finally.
Should have aerated, didn’t get around to it. Scalped, dethatched on lowest setting back and forth to purposely beat up the existing grass and top layer.
Leveled to the best of my ability with 2 yards of topsoil, turned out pretty decent I think. I went heavy on the right side since there was a dip there but I brought it up a good bit.
2500 sqft including tree lawn.
– 20.5 pound of seed including my harbor freight bucket in that weight measurement.
– 90lb of milorganite
– starter fert placed right before the seed.
– bought 2 yards of compost, I used about 1.5 and rolled it over the seed under my f150 perimeter lighting. I wasn’t quitting yet even if I couldn’t technically see.
– child labor farmhand was a plus with dethatching.
Included before photo, grass didn’t really grow around the light post area and same with the tree lawn.

Not sure about the use of profanity here…. But the tequila is telling me it’s ok. Fuckin nice work my guy. Need to touch up on the edging but I’m jealous of the lawn for sure! 10/10
Wow, congrats
Nice work and great help you had there. Enjoy that beer looking out to your fruits of labor.
