Came back from long trip, is this a disease or overwatering? What to do?

Hello, I’ve been on a three month trip, and my mother watered my plants.
I was hoping it might just be her (lovingly) overwatering tendencies, but now I have three plants with a few leaves like this.
The underside looks the same.
Can someone tell me what it is and if there is anything I can do?
I have a huge amount of plants and I’m worried.

The affected plants are all within three feet of a (large) window with a very mesh curtain. They’ve been in the same spot for 4 years, and have thrived previously, with a lot of new full growth.

Thank you in advance

Thrips! And it looks to be a bad infestation. Cut off the leaves with the most damage. Do you have systemic granules where you are? If not you’ll need a spray (one that targets thrips). They live in the leaves and can lay eggs in the leaf or in the soil so it’s best to target both areas. Check your nearby plants as it’s likely to have spread. Adults are slim black bugs very tiny to see. Larvae are harder to see and are more a clear/orange/yellow-ish colour. This can take weeks and you have to not give up. If you can’t commit, you will need to toss them.

Anyone with a EU allowed spray suggestion?
I’m a bit heartbroken, and there seem to be many options
