Fig tree HELP

Hello, I planted a fig tree two years ago (along with other trees in my condo) and everything was going great until i noticed these holes in the trunk area. The first year I was watering it almost everyday, this year i have been doing it only 2-3 times a week, could this be the cause? I also noticed ants have been starting to come up from the root when i water now as well. I really don't want it to die. Also a side note, i don't know why my orange tree is not growing either, I gave it enough space to grow. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

  1. Note that certified arborists are **not** trained in fruit tree care to get their certification. Fruit tree care is entirely different than landscape trees. Always look for an experienced fruit tree expert who has worked with various fruit trees in different settings and contexts over time when seeking advice for management of fruit trees.

How much sun does the citrus get a day?
