What is going on with my ZZ? Why is there such a clean cut where the leaf dies? It’s starting on the others as well.

Backstory: Plant was neglected a long time but doing fine. ZZ are not exactly my plant but I had this for years. Decided to get a raven as well, the raven arrived in a bulging pot and wet soil already rotting so I had to repot. As this one had started to develop issues with water sitting on the rizomes in its old pot as well I repotted that one as well. I watered the night before, repotted and left it alone without watering for a week, then gave it a small amount. The raven is unfortunately completely rotting away still despite being left dry but that looks different, it became mushy from the very base. I’m just mentioning this because the plants came in contact while repotting. I didn’t change the location. It is sitting directly on a windowsill and has been for years. It received a small amount of slow fertilizer at repotting, half the recommendation as this chunky soil is completely unfertilized (the company pre washes their soil mixes and even tests that the water is clear, so it really needs fertilizer added).

I guess it’s too late but maybe someone can enlighten me.
