I found the snake scales on my lawn today and I wonder if anyone knows the type of snake that left the scales. I have two young kids and I want to ensure it is not a poisonous snake so they can avoid the lawn.
I *think* they’ll attempt an ID via a shed. You might need to handle the shed and provide photos of the belly/ventral pattern as well as the subcaudal scales.
