Hi all. This lawn used to be well maintained and was laid with turf about 26 years ago. It’s been neglected and is now more of a grassy field.
I was told to scarify by a gardener but thought I’d see what a hand rake did first — the lawn comes up like a carpet and the grass seems very shallow rooted, almost rooted into its own thatch.
Do I bother trying to sort this out? It’s never going to be an ornamental lawn again, just want to make it look smart.
