Lost a Massive Pine to Termites?

We just purchased a new home with beautiful mature pines, oaks, and maples. Our tallest pine appears to have completely died in a matter of 3 months or so. I recently noticed what appeared ito be saw dust around the base of the tree. I assume the tree died to to termites or some sort of infestation? I've attacked some photos. My biggest concern is that is may become unstable and fall. It's a massive tree about 35 – 40ft from our home. What would you recommend my next actions be?

Removal would be next. Not sure what else you thought of doing. An arborist could come look, possibly southern pine beetle or some pest that could attack nearby trees and a treatment may be necessary to save the others

I believe beetles killed your tree. Should definitely get an arborist to look at it to get it removed before it’s get too dangerous to work on depending on your yard.
