Euphorbiaceae

Advice for a newbie

Hello!

A friend of mine from work has this lovely plant hanging out by our stairwell. (Moved in the pic to protect it during office move).

It is kept in our basement office area, we don't have any windows. But it has been around for roughly 20 years or so according to him. So it has been getting plenty of artifical light and lives in a temp around 72 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It gets watered once every couple of weeks when he thinks the soil is dry.

He was concerned about the marks towards the bottom. Is this corking by chance?

He also mentioned that the tiny arms are new.

Any recommendations for care?
