How can I get my plant to spread its leaves more?

I have some plants here that are growing new leaves, but the stems have not been growing for a while. Is there anything I can do to make them grow the leaf stem longer? Or this just take time?

The one with blue flowers seem to be growing from a thiner stem, I don't know why. I already removed 2 rows of leaves, so the new ones would have more space to grow, but leaves are still "crowded" and it is not a mites issue and I reported it less than 6 months ago.
