Monstera

Thai or albo?

Wife got 3 cuttings from someone for $50. Any way to tell which one these are?? Help please 🙂

I think 2 are albo and 1 Thai

    100% albo
Thais tend too be lighter and more speckled, but albos look more as if someone spilled milk on the plant (how I remember it haha )
Thais are typically more cream colored and usually can get larger than albos, being that most albo are small form monsteras.
I find that most of the time the albo plants also have a richer green, as you can see from these photos. But of course, individuality of plants can make it a bit difficult. 🙂
Once they grow, their growth pattern is quite obvious – and I will speak generally for this – Thai usually has very tight internodal spacing (space between the leaves) whereas albo often has a bit more and is a tad vinier. Obviously growing conditions also affect this, but it is genetic as well.

Thai variegation is more stable, albo is a complete mess, as you can see, you have an albo.

All of them are Albos. Are they planted in that huge pot? It looks way too big. Are the petioles buried in soil? Hard to tell.
