How to water when there’s a moss cover?

I’m trying anthuriums for the second time after failing the first time several years back. I have them in my room (not in a cabinet or greenhouse) and my ambient humidity is currently 70%. I just got this waroq and the stem is kinda long so I heard I should maybe put a moss cover over the stump part? Does anyone else do this? If so do you water directly over the moss covering? Or do you take it off and then water?

I find moss so confusing. It feels way too wet if I put water directly over it, but also is that how it’s supposed to be?

Yes, moss dries quickly so you’d just pour water over the top
