I have this garden space with a man-made pond at the back of my yard, and I would love to make it a native species habitat. The tricky thing is that there are a bunch of maple trees that provide almost full shade for most of the day, and the spot is at the top of a hill so the soil is pretty dry. Any advice on what to put here would be greatly appreciated! I'm in Southern Ontario.
