Need help and courage

I’ve posted in a couple other subs but no info yet. I was given charge on reviving this lady back to glory. I don’t know ID, but some type of cereus is what comes up mostly. I need to repot the bigger rooted section, and help the other 2 grow roots to pot. Need advice for courage

I can only use what I have, can’t go out and purchase finer materials. I have perlite, coco coir, local river sand but online said river sand is coarse and this doesn’t look or feel coarse, some pavers sand, some cactus soil, peat hummus, top soil, pea gravel, and egg shells.
-I understand the general soil building info, but also confused by mixed info. Is sand highly recommended? Is pea gravel recommended for any of the pieces? Peat hummus?
-egg shells, is this helpful in building potting soil
-I have a concrete planter with a heavy base, But, no drainage hole, is this manageable if I live in a sunny 9a/b zone?
-are there any particular tips or advice that can be offered since online info can get confusing and contradictory
-the rooted base I need to pot soon, and the other 2 I’m leaving out to callous, then pot. How far do I put the base of them into the soil?
