Pothos

Should I propagate or upsize and wrap?

There is a pretty large section without leaves on my pothos. I don’t really want to cut it and repropogate because the roots are pretty well established. The plant is pretty healthy, the large empty vine is just an eyesore to me. It’s about 5 feet of empty vine. I have three questions/options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
1. Leave the plant alone
2. Cut the empty vine, dispose of the old root system, and propagate the vine again.
3. Upgrade the pot size and wrap the large vine on top of the soil? Will this successfully create more vine offshoots?

I have the same problem…so I’m definitely interested in hearing someone’s response 😅

You’ve got a lot of bare nodes, I’d probably cut it back and propagate to get a more lush pot of pothos.

I think you should cut and prop. It’s POSSIBLE that wrapping the vine will create offshoots but no guarantee and it won’t create more than one probably. Instead of just disposing of the old roots, just leave a couple nodes attached and you will get a new vine with the old roots. Then just plant the prop in the same pot to fill it all out.

I personally would cut and prop. The best looking plants are the ones that get trimmed and propped back into the pot. Your vines will end up looking fuller than they are now
