New growth on cut Echinopsis cactus?

I recently had to do etiolation surgery on my echinopsis cactus after I got a grow light because it was growing in a really weird way/wasn't going to be able to grow correctly moving forward.

Well fast forward a few weeks and now I have a new little growth! Is this a new cactus/sprout growing or a new little puff ball like it has on the sides? It looks a little rough since I had to cut a good chunk of the etiolation off but this is giving me hope it may survive/produce a new lil baby.

1st & 2nd pic is of the new growth after cutting, 3rd is picture before cutting, and 4th is bonus pic of my other succulent that I had to cut that's also growing two new babies!

That is normal. It is doing fine. When you cut off the etiolated part you removed the main growth point. Doing that to cacti, or plants in generally really, will sometimes result in multiple new branches, several new growth points, or the cactus may create one new main growth point.
