Excavated lawn and installed drain line – 1 year later?

About 1 year ago we had qualified plumbers install a drain line (wet system) across the lawn. It involved excavating, trenching out the soil and installing 90cm pvc pipes. The original soil was replanted and the original grass was replanted.

The grass just grows quicker down the entire stretch of the line.

I thought maybe the aeration and re-planting has lead to better growth. But my mate thinks I have a leak.

Would I have a leak running down the entire pvc line though?

Any ideas ? Much appreciated

Leak is possible (so is the extra fertilizer coming out of your drain line) but I think unlikely since it’s the entire length. I also have a sump pump line running underneath my lawn, and that line is usually greener year round. Grass doesn’t grow more quickly, but the running water through the line regulates temperatures a bit. Unless it’s unusually cold (or hot) where you are and everything else stopped growing (except for this strip), I’m not sure why else it would be growing so quickly. Only other thought is new seed type and aeration, which you mentioned.
