Arboriculture

I have a Lebanese Cedar century tree with Dyers Mazegill fungus. What to do?

Hi arborists, this amazing tree is on my property and is somewhat of a local landmark among the surrounding villages (southern France). The other trees on the property have not been looked after and I might as well be running a tree hospice.

I noticed a mushroom on the tree (pictured) which I am fairly certain is Dyers Mazegill. I understand this to be terminal, but how long do I have and is there any way to treat or slow the progression?

It's a beautiful tree and my neighbors all told me that I mustn't cut it down. I had an arborist come once who told me to just leave it and that nothing needs doing.

What can I do for this tree?
