Monstera

Drying leaves monstera

Bought this momstera about 2/3 months ago. I put it in my bedroom, barely direct sunlight is there in my room. I watered frequently. But i didnt take much care of it.

However, in last week all the leaved started drying out like this. Now i have changed the pot soil and mixed new compost with the soil.
Placed it in another room near window.

What else i should do to save it?

I wouldn’t really reccomend adding compost to indoor plant soil, usually a 2-1 airoid mix to perlite is best for monsteras. It definitely looks like an overall underwatering issue and I recommend giving it a good drink and then letting about 2 inches dry out from the surface before watering again, luckily monsteras are hearty and this will probably just be a small bump in the road if the issues are fixed. Also keep in mind not to over water as I find it a lot harder to fix than under. Another thing that would help boost the growth would be getting a microfibre cloth and some neem oil (or water if that’s too expensive) and giving it a good wipe down on the leaves as that built up hard water and dust will impact the plants ability to absorb the light. Again, I would most likely reccomend changing the soil to something more suitable for an airoid like the 2-1 airoid/perlite mixture as well as keeping on a good watering schedule. An alternative to using compost is getting a good indoor plant fertiliser and adding it to your plants water once a month. Hope this all helps! Good luck!!
