Welcome Gardeners! My life has been incomplete without one of my all-time favorite roses, the Eden Climber! I had two of these growing over an arch at my previous house and I miss them SO much! I think I found a great spot where they can thrive and we can fall in love with all over again! 🌹 Enjoy!

Janey, love seeing your Rubbermade Big Wheel Cart commercial……nice!
I live in Huston TX ,I bought two eden roses but they're not doing good here! It's too hot and hummid!
Qué ganas de ya verlas!
Hi Janey – have you considered reaching out to your local American rose society for their expertise about planting roses in your area? They probably would love to share their knowledge as well as spread awareness about all the great things ARS is doing for roses. Happy to connect you with master consulting rosarians that specialize in your area. Love your videos! From, a fellow Eden-lover!
Hi Janie- where did you purchase your trellis you used for the roses?
So if you’re giving your rose the 1 gallon per hour emitter, are you running it for an hour?
This was worth the wait!! I’m looking forward to hearing what Aaron thinks about all this too!
great video, thank yall for sharing with us. i love me some roses!
Janey … why are you planting your rose arch somewhere where it can’t be viewed from the house? ( just my view) I would like to see another Eden rose arch in the back yard?
Your new garden is coming along beautifully. ☺️ hugs from Australia. ☺️🙏🏼🍷
Another great thing about Heirloom Roses is that if you purchase your roses when it's too late to plant, they will hold them until Spring. I did that last winter when I received a gift card from them – bought my roses in November and had them arrive in May which is when we can plant in the PNW.
Janey, Did you forget the gopher cage for the roses? I have a gopher issue. They stay in one part of the yard for awhile, then move to a different part so you never know when they will strike in another part and take down another plant. Thank you for the detailed information on roses. I seem to kill them, but with your info I am going to try again. I am interested in planting the same kind you planted in this video.
Ooooo I cannot wait to see those next year!! You, little lady, are the reason why I just spent $165 on Heirloom Roses website a couple of days ago!! 😜😂😂 It’s full on addictive when you start reading all of the information that they provide!! I am so excited to receive my precious packages! I literally waited until the very last minute, closed my eyes and hoped that I hit the right button but wanted to tell myself, and my husband, that it was an “accidental” late night purchase 😁😂😂😂 Hey, I had birthday money burning a hole in my wallet! Best part of having a fall birthday 😉❤️❤️
I planted two Eden climbers that I got from Heirloom on an arch yesterday!!! I am so very excited also.
I always learn something from you Janey. I planted a rose this Spring and I was thinking it was too deep and you just confirmed the opposite! I am so happy I dont have to move rose now. Thanks
Hi Janey, Am in zone 9b myself and have learned a lot watching your channel. Am new to gardening. I also wanted a master plan – with design, hardscape, architectural elements and choice plant selections so I reached out to Michael Glassman landscape design, unfortunately they’re not taking new clients outside of Sacramento.
Love the eden climber and will purchase from heirloom roses. Can you direct me where I can purchase same metal arch?
Thanks for inspiration and learning more from you!
💖🌸👍🏻🌸💖
I am getting Eden rose next season.
I've made my first David Austin order thanks to you Janey! 11 roses later 🤣 it really is an addiction! And of course that includes the Eden Rose (Pierre De Ronsard in Australia). So excited!! So glad you've got some more in your new garden ❤
If I lived in California, I’d have many roses. Roses do so well there! Not so easy in hot humid Houston. Enjoy your new babies!
I live in Marin County, CA. Sadly the fire dept stated we could not have ANYTHING green within 5 feet of our house (not even a lily pad). So I have had to take out beautiful plants along a walking path to the front door, a beautiful flowering bush at the edge of the deck, used as a privacy screen from our neighbor, and no more large pots around the home, filled with gorgeous pollinators and cutting plants. You can bet that 5 feet out there is a ton of plants from there, out.
We all like that mulch! And I am unanimous in that!
Janey, I wished I would have seen this before I bought my heirloom rose. I got it this passed spring it’s the New Dawn climbing rose for partial shade that is why I picked it. I wished I knew you planted it with Bio Tone. I use Plant Tone all the time before planting anything. It pretty much slip the first year. I sure hope it’s going to creep next summer. I’m in 6b in Michigan. Thanks you for the videos on Roses.
Jason, Your word for the day is 'Faith'. 'Have faith Angels, have Faith". In today's video from Laura (Garden Answer) @ 30.00 Dream Stream Installation Day One!, the landscaper explains why he designs streams the way he does, and I thought of you. Your phone calls goes: "I am a physiotherapist in California and I have now joined my wife in her YouTube channel "D P W R' with now over 80K subscribers. We are planning a stream in our (depth?) front garden … Would you be interested in partnering … "
Their contact details are in the 'more' section of Laura's video.
Maybe the thousands of extra views and potential subscribers could help with the $ gazebo idea? Then we just have to find someone who's wanting to rid themselves of trees for the long border. The man who delivered the tree mulch? My neighbour sold her tree cheaply for a softer look. If the three (admin ideas whizz) of you sit together, I'm sure this will work for you too.
Cali is such a great environment for roses. Here in coastal NC, we also have extreme heat but we also have extreme humidity. Bugs and diseases are never ending obstacles l
I’ve noticed that you have been using more Biotone when planting have you noticed a difference between Surestart? Biotone is pretty hard to find in the Sacramento area
Is the Eden rose fragrant
Hi. You said in a previous video that you are interested in finding out more about Ellen Willmott. There’s a brilliant book called Miss Willmotts Ghosts by Sandra Lawrence. Well worth reading, Ellen is a fascinating character.
I might be mistaken, but I think David Austin Roses also recommends no fertilizer the first season.
I kept thinking the Eden climbing rose was so familiar to me, because it looked like a climber I had planted in my old garden in 1998. After some hunting, I discovered it was the same rose, only it’s called Pierre de Ronsard in Australia. So, if anyone here wants to track one down for themselves across the ocean, look for it by the name”Pierre de Ronsard”, and yes, it was a stunning rose even back then!
Eden rose is one of my favorite roses!
You should get Don Juan smell's great is red and is a climber
Why my Eden climbing roses is not bloom
Thank you for sharing! I also have a small garden and grow many types of roses. I really like it when I wake up every morning and see the flowers blooming in brilliant colors! Does anyone have similar interests as me?
