some sort of barrel cactus, and maybe about 20/30 years? i had 4 like that in my yard when i moved into my house and two fell over after some time. older google images of the house showed the cacti before i moved in but shorter. both were 5-6 feet tall and looked just like that one.

*Ferocactus* are more heavily segmented! and most of its species have heavy thorns, often curved.
I’m not completly sure, but i think it’s a Ferocactus acanthodes. And about the age, I think a bit over 100 years.
