Monstera

I found signs of root rot in my monstera but most of the roots look healthy. Is there anything I can do to keep most of the roots and kill the bacteria?

My otherwise healthy monstera started showing signs of root rot so I took it out of its pot and indeed found some roots mushy and dead. A majority of the roots look white and firm and intact however they are in an impenetrable ball so I can't know I got all the rotted ones for sure.
I was planning on putting it in water to rinse further and let it recover before reporting. Is there anything I can put in the water/soil to kill any root rot that exists now or in the future? Do I need to cut more of the roots just in case?

Add hydrogen peroxide to the water you’re rinsing them in. One part peroxide to two parts water

Use a fungicide and not hydrogen peroxide. The latter doesn’t treat systemic disease.
