I have a shockwave rosebush (from weeks roses) that I kept alive and blooming through the summer! I pruned it twice to keep it from getting scraggly, and now I’m wondering if it’s time to prune again, or even deadhead, but according to the internet I shouldn’t deadhead until February. I do want it to grow a little more full in the center with less scraggly outwardly branches, but I’m afraid if I prune too close to the root stock I’ll lose the top stock.
Should I keep fertilizing through the fall and winter too, or give it a dormant period?

I deadhead roses and only prune around Valentine Day. I pick out 2-5 strong healthy shoot and cut the rest.
