    Hell yeah it has potential but also drawbacks. High capital cost is a big one. And the towers in this video offer no resilience to power outages or user error. It also requires quite a bit of knowledge and is limiting in what crops you can grow. Leafy greens, herbs, and strawberries are the ones that I’ve had success with. but in pots on lower and lean string systems tomatoes and cucumbers grow like crazy.

    I think they’ll find a niche. They’re good for wealthy countries with reliable power and limited space.

    With towers you can grow only lettuce, and nft is 3 times more efficient in growing lettuce than tower. Towers don’t have any advantage.
