You could do a very light pruning on problematic roots that look like they’re choking each other. If you’re not planning to keep it at the size it is now for maintenance then most of the roots will sort themselves out. If you’re switching to a semi-hydro setup then it’s best to remove that soil to avoid suffocating that section which may rot.
