Hi all,
Just hoping for some guidance on how to help this tree/plant. If you look at the pictures you can see that most of the trees flowers are old/dead and in the whole tree there are only 3 new flowers. I’m not sure whether to cut it back (like cut a few branches off) or if try and manually remove the old flowers..? I think it must be a type of banksia (could absolutely be wrong though).
Thank you for any help!

A red bottlebrush *Callistemon*. Care instructions here https://www.burkesbackyard.com.au/fact-sheets/in-the-garden/flowering-plants-shrubs/bottlebrush/. They tend to get straggly when they are mature. If you water it regularly, flowers should return.
Looks like a banksia spinulosa “hairpin banksia” or a banksia ericifolia. Definitely prune the old flower stems off. You can cut them back 30cm per flower and it should reshoot.
Grevillea of some kind…. they kind of care for themselves when they are that established.
Actually the other comment it correct banksia…. same thing…. established just water if it’s hot but they are drought tolerant and tidy it up when it’s suitable not sure of the season though.
