Back in August the government said it was ‘looking into’ banning smokers from some outside places – including restaurant terraces and beer gardens.
Well this week industry bosses have warned it could be hugely damaging for pubs if that happens.
They say Northern pubs especially will be affected – as fewer of them serve food. People tend to go specifically to drink – and have a smoke.

Let's ban knives, ban driving,ban drinking ban anything that could harm yourself or others. Why not.
Smoking is the one choice that negates my choice not to do it. I shouldn't have to ingest anything I don't want too.

My dad when I was growing up was a chain smoker and I have never smoked. I visit a hotel and there is no smoking in the Beer Garden. The smokers have to go to the other side of the wall. Always busy
