Pot of soil for aerial root?

Will this encourage the aerial root to branch out into soil roots so I can cut and prop the top half of this plant?

Just let it grow into the big pot. There’s no advantage to doing the small pot, too.

For airlayering these I’ve wrapped long sphagnum moss around the whole node and root, held in place with a cut pot, Saran swap or a baggie, kept moist.

This way might work? Report back! 🙂

  3. lol this is funny. Should work though. Maybe replace the soil with sphagnum moss. Damp moss works a little better for me.
