Crazy root

Hey ya’ll, I don’t have much experience yet with CPs or cape sundews and this is my second one. It has this huge root that started out as a knot that just got longer, and is now progressively digging its way back into the pot. So just confirming this is normal? Plant is healthy other wise. Any tips if needed appreciated.
