I’m assuming a deer raked the base of my new crabapple tree we planted this summer, is there anything I can do to help treat this? I’m worried there’s too much damage and it won’t survive
It is definitely more vulnerable now. My autumn blaze maple got rubbed by a deer last year and I am pretty sure it has gotten diseased and is dying now (a year later). You might get lucky and it will heal without getting infected with something. Good luck.
