  1. the wave is a print so therefore not a painting. somehow it is surprising that you didn't mention Egyptian, Minoan, the Lascaux wall paintings in France, and maybe the hand scroll paintings of china. or, how about the person who painted/drew the first circle. or maybe an African mask painting that Picasso saw then changed his artistic efforts which caused cubism, ab ex, and conceptual art.
