  1. I live in South Australia and we have very hot summers and last year I put my holes about an inch above the bottom. This really helped with retaining water throughout 40oC days and I got the idea from you Robbie. Thank you so much ❤
My daughter brings home 10 litre ice cream containers from her work and I repurpose them for my pots using a soldering iron (your idea Robbie)
    I really enjoyed your video
    Cheers Angela

  2. I’m in ga. and I’ve start putting my holes 5 to 6 inches up. I’m not good at watering more than once a week when it too hot to go outside.

  3. I water at the end of the day, too. I agree with you – having the water overnight when it’s cooler for a longer period of time seems to make the plants happier. Also, the cactus and succulents absorb water in the evening. And, for me it’s a nice relaxing way to end the day. 😌

  4. Yes on format. I binge watch & a few months ago I started watching a channel that puts the date in their title. It’s very helpful when I’m searching for videos during specific season (ex Feb 1, 2024 spring seed starting)

  5. Thank You Robbie, this was a great help.
As you say experiment in your own garden. I am still learning.
I am like a sponge for new ideas that have been tried out.
    Learning to twerk! .
It's fun to explore and to experiment.
Of course I have had many failures and killed lots of plants because I was ignorant.
Learning to be more observant, to see what works and what doesn't.
But the most important thing, that I am learning, is the soil needs to be nutrient dense for you to have varbrant good tasting food. It's a learning curve.
    I love your videos.
Your husband Gary is a gem.
My husband is special to me too, he not into gardening, but very supportive and makes many things for me too.
I know you really appreciate all the things he does for you.
You make a great gardening couple. Much love to both. 🤗

  6. Yes, I really like this format! It’s fine when you answer questions during garden tours or other videos, but it does make it very difficult to go back and find the topic. Plus I’m rewatching a video for a half an hour or more to get to the information I need or to find out that I’m watching the wrong video. Quick videos answering one question or discussing one topic would be helpful. Not that I mind rewatching your videos – LOL! But sometimes I just need a quick answer. Thanks for taking the time to actually answer questions.

  7. Yes, I love you answering questions this way! And continue with the garden tours too. Love your videos Robbie!

  8. Hey I want to thank you for mentioning Frndly steaming tv thingy. I have a FireTv and Frndly is available to load. I love the stations you can get on the cheap. So Ty!

  9. Hi Robbie, how are you and Gary? Robbie what is the best way to water the plants now that we are in the fall and I brought all my plants inside the house? They are dormant or they are going to be dormant,What is the best way to water them? The top or the bottom where I have a saucer to collect the water. Hellp
