  1. I wondered if you had come across lespedeza as an option. I get pellets from Daniel's. There is another option I have found where you can get bales of lespedeza for $12. Not sure if they spray though. Guy is about an hour north of us and he raises katahdin sheep as well. Holler if you want his info!

  2. Hahaha! Miah thinking of Joe Shmo….was hilarious to me! I had two good loughs! You know what the other one was! Blessings!

  3. I also got excited about dung beetles! And I agree with minimal use of chemical meds, but when they are needed, I don’t hesitate.

  4. Toby, I'm 58 and am getting braces on December 18th. I wore braces for 4 years when I was young but neglected to wear my retainers faithfully. Now I have to straighten my teeth all over again. Take good care of your teeth young man and wear your retainers faithfully once the braces are off. Hope to see your perfect smile in future. ❤

  5. If you know how or learn to do fecals you can reduce your chemical impact significantly by targeting the right type of parasites that that dewormer treats

  6. What an informative video. I live in Detroit so, of course, I will never make use of any of it. But it's absolutely fascinating to me to watch. Growing up we used to visit my grandparents' farm in Arkansas, but they only had chickens. I have gained such an appreciation of farm life watching your videos. Even with the occasional struggles of farm life, it must be so rewarding. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

  7. Organic worming is just preventive care. Always feeding anthelmintic herbs. Pumpkin seeds , garlic, wormwood, fennel, molasses for the iron! Ivermectin ect . Wouldn’t wanna buy animals that have chemical dependency- copper sulfate keeps them at bay and should be fed free range dolomite as well

  8. It is the pumpkin seeds that have the best anti parasitic affect, but if the animal is not one that will grind them up, dry and powder them as the tough outer shell can prevent them getting to the good stuff. Oregano is also excellent

  9. I couldn't agree more Jess. I only deworm my goats when necessary. I hate using chemicals on my goats unless they really need it. Great video

  10. Pigs if in a large pen or in a good sized area are the only animals that I know that do their pooping in one corner of their area.

  11. Do you put raw apple cider vinegar in the goats water? My friend had milking goats and used that to keep away the parasites.

  12. Jess … I have a roux hack and it’s LIFE CHANGING. You put your flour in a dry cast iron Dutch oven over medium heat and stir the flour as it toasts. Once the flour turns the color of light beach sand, then take the pot off the heat and stir in your fat. Put it in a 350 degree oven covered and let it cook (undisturbed) for 45 minutes to an hour until the roux is a beautiful copper penny color. Then, take it out of the oven and proceed with your gumbo prep as desired. It works FABULOUSLY and I don’t have to stand there and baby sit my roux forever. Try it, I promise you’re gonna love it.

  13. Gumbo is still delicious if you puree the whole bowl (sausage and all). On a liquid/ soft food diet, I used my immersion blender to puree any soups with pieces. Gumbo was my go-to favorite during that period. Hang in there, Toby!

  14. Omg. I just got very emotional when the boys mentioned the spider…you live in the barn of Charlotte's web…my heart ❤

  15. Hello 🤗,
I am sorta new to your channel know you through Farmer Morgan the story teller.
Love it your getting Dung Beatles .
I do not do all organic for myself with food . We do the best we can thankyou .Good video for me .

  16. Hi Jess, I recommend you reach out to Danielle at Weed ‘em and reap. She specializes in goats and shows goat as well. I’m pretty sure she uses Wormwood herb to deworm her goats and she also uses Brazil nuts for selenium. Actually one Brazil nut has all the selenium an adult person needs so she’s just doing the same thing for her goats.
