I'm a first time Gardner building raised beds for veggies and this is a great idea for trellising which I can do myself as a 74 year old lady.any thanks for this info
If you put the trellis in the middle of the raised bed, you can have cucumbers climbing on either side. Maybe up to 4 cuke plants using one trellis. You could also hang netting on each of the rungs as the plants grow to the sky.

PVC is so useful in the garden! I use it to solve numerous types of trellising needs. Also great for bed covers to use with frost protection, insect netting, shade cloth, and critter barriers.

Sorry, I made the first comment about using rebar before I watched the whole video.
That stuff is $6.29usd/10 ft length in the US and $18.98cdn for the exact same thing. Even with the exchange difference, it's still about 2.5 times the price here. Why ? Because our country is run by idiot politicians and corporate profiteers.
I think it's better to use natural materials in the garden instead of plastics like PVC. Could make the same trellis from dried sunflower stems or tree branches. Plus it's free
I love that. I do use the PVC pipes to make hoop coverings. With your trellis, have you thought of making a greenhouse from the PVC pipes?
pvc exposed to ultra violet light from the sun will decompose into a toxic micro plastic mess. all pvc exposed to the sun should be covered with paint that's compatible with plastic for maximum longevity. most exterior latex paints will do the job. or better yet, don't use plastic.
