Just about all transplants grown indoors need to be acclimated to the outdoors. That means that have to get use to the sun, wind and temperatures. The sun will burn out your transplants if you don’t put them through a hardening off process. This video is about the principles. There is no exact way to do it and the process can vary between plant types (though not that much). You just start slowly with an hour or two of sun and increase over about a weeks time. I like to start the process early with peas when they first sprout up.
