Could be snails? Do new holes appear shortly after rainfall?

Birds maybe

You might be dealing with tomato fruit worms…we have recently seen a lot of the moths that come as a result.

My vote would be birds. They’re pecking holes and then drinking the liquid out of the tomato. Put out a birdbath and hopefully this problem should go away.

Put a camera out where they grow! My neighbor just did this for hers. It was chipmunks in the end I think

[This is a great site for finding what’s damaging your tomatoes](https://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/help-for-the-home-gardener/advice-tips-resources/visual-guides/tomato-fruit-problems.aspx). It looks like tomato fruit worms. (Scroll down to the bottom to see bird damage). If it’s fruit worms you’ll see evidence (poop/frass/worms) inside the tomatoes.
