Fantastic where did you get those metal zip ties?
Hi I love how simple and easy way you do and explain your gardening skills, they are great I wonder how they can be incorporated into large market garden ideas .
Use pvc pipes , strings and large sewer pipes cut and installed in a vertical fashion like ladder might be something to consider for strawberries and even potatoes etc and last but not the least having plastic barrels with cuts all around them in a C shape for growing some greens like lettuce, onions and herbs.

I learned many ideas and I'll apply it. Growing vertical is easy to manage and prevent crawling bugs. Be aware ants protect aphids, as soon as I get rid off the ants around the plants in my garden, the aphids disappeared. Thanks

I used 2 cow panels (52”=4’4” by 16’) connected /overlapped/ together with zip ties to make a vertical arch over my 15 ‘ span of garden, to grow beans, cucumbers squash and tomatoes. To start, I placed only 2 metal stakes in the ground at each end of the 15 ‘ span. Then the cow panels are draped over to form the arch. This year I connected the two panels with: 4’ single panel —a 12’ overlapping of the 2 panels —4 foot single panel. The panels are connected together with about 3 ties at each end and a few in the center of the arch. The first edge of the panel is laid against the two metal stakes at one end and draped over the 15 ‘ span. The 4 ‘ single panels are vertical and the overlapping 12’ forms a gentle curved arch shape. When the cow panels are bent, the panels are quite springy (as they attempt to stay straight). The second panel end is then placed inside the second two metal stakes at the other end of the 15 ‘ span. I am amazed that I did this all by myself as Im not very strong. Because I wasn’t sure if the fierce winds would lift up the arch I fixed the metal stakes to the cow panels. However, I think the spring action of the panel against the metal stakes probably wouldn’t allow the panel to move up. I was concerned about making this mobile, so I used reusable zip ties and the metal stakes are bent at the ends so I could attach a Jack to the stakes if there were difficulties pulling the stakes out of the ground, I used either rebar or round or square pieces of metal for the stakes, whatever was available. Stakes were probably hammered about 1-1.5 feet deep into the ground. In retrospect I could have had less overlap of the 2 cow panels to make the arch taller. One thing I learned was that it was easier to make the arch curved by bending the arched area of each single panel a bit first before overlapping/joining the 2 panels together. Cow panels are galvanized steel so they wont rust. Probably I’ll leave this structure in place for next year’s garden but switch where I plant my vegetables as I tend to try to rotate crops. The tall height of the arch makes it easy to walk under the arch to harvest vegetables!
